Katherine Heigl Net Worth
Katherine Heigl is an American actress and producer who has won an Emmy. Her estimated net worth is $30 million. The hit ABC medical drama “Grey’s Anatomy,” in which she appeared as Dr. Izzie Stevens from 2005 to 2010, is where Katherine Heigl is most known for her work. Like a surprising number of Hollywood stars, Katherine Heigl started her professional career as a child model before switching to acting in her late teens.
She stayed with the show for all three seasons until alternating between cinema and television roles in the early 2000s. She received a role in the new television series “Grey’s Anatomy” in 2005.
She later received numerous honors for her performance on the program, including the Best Supporting Actress Emmy. Although some of the show’s viewers and staff objected to her decision to leave the production to concentrate on a film career, she moved on.
Katherine Marie Heigl was born in Washington, D.C., on November 24, 1978. She was raised in New Canaan, Connecticut, with her older brothers Jason, Meg, and Holt, and parents Nancy, a personnel manager, and Paul, an accountant, and financial executive. Jason tragically died in September 1986, a week after being hurt in a car accident; as a result, Nancy, a Lutheran, and Paul, a Catholic, decided to convert to Mormonism; Heigl was brought up in the faith beginning at the age of eight.
At age 9, Katherine began modeling when her aunt submitted photos of her to Wilhelmina Models. She started to appear in magazine advertisements, Sears and Lord & Taylor catalogs, and soon after that, TV commercials and movies. Heigl occasionally had to skip up to three months of school while attending New Canaan High School to film movies, but she tried to schedule her acting and modeling jobs around weekends and vacations when she could.
Nancy was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1996, Katherine’s parents divorced, and she went through nine months of chemotherapy before taking over as Katherine’s manager. Heigl moved to Los Angeles the following year with her mother, where she finished high school.
