If You See a ‘not Registered on Network’ Error Message on Your Samsung Galaxy, Here’s How to Fix It.

What does Not Registered in the Network mean?

If your device shows a “not registered to network” error, it means that your SIM card cannot connect to your carrier’s network. You may not be able to make or receive calls or text messages. This error can appear on any Android phone, so the steps to fix it are the same regardless of the manufacturer or model.

There can be many reasons why your Samsung Galaxy phone may not connect to the network, from misconfigured network settings to a faulty SIM card. In this post, we have mentioned all the possible solutions that should help you overcome the error. Assuming you’ve already tried restarting your phone, let’s look at some workarounds.

One possible reason for this error is an incorrectly inserted SIM. Therefore, you should remove the SIM card and insert it again. Also, don’t forget to check that the SIM card is not visibly damaged. Turn off your Samsung Galaxy phone and remove the SIM card. After reinserting the SIM card, restart the phone once more to see if that fixes the error.Insert SIM on Phone

By default, your Samsung device is configured to automatically search for and connect to your carrier’s network. In case of the “not registered to the network” error, you can try to connect to the mobile network manually. Here is the tutorial.

Step 1: Select the Settings app on your phone and after that click on Connections. Next, turn on Mobile networks.

Step 2: Click Network operators and put off the switch next to Select automatically. Next to it, your phone will automatically start searching for all available networks.

Step 3: Find and select your carrier from the list.Select Network Manually

Sometimes these network registration errors can also occur if you are in an area where the set network type is unavailable. To fix this, you will need to switch to a different network type. Here’s how to do it.

Step 1: Open the Settings app on your phone, go to Connections, and tap Mobile networks.

Step 2: Select network mode and select LTE/3G/2G (Auto Connect).Change Network Mode on Samsung Phone

Such errors will appear if you have recently changed your service provider or migrated to a different plan with the same operator. You can try to resolve them by manually updating your APN (or access point name) settings. You will need to contact your service provider to obtain these settings.

Step 1: Select the Settings app, search Connections, and tab Mobile networks.

Step 2: Next, click on Access Point Names.Access Point Names

Step 3: Click Add in the upper right corner to create a new APN settings profile. Put the information provided to you by your carrier and save your APN by using the three-dot menu at the top.Add Access Point Names

Step 4: Go back to access point names and select the newly created APN.

Check if this resolves the error.

If the “network not registered” error persists, it’s time to reset your network settings. This will delete all your saved Wi-Fi networks, and paired Bluetooth devices and reset the configuration of other networks to their default values.

Step 1: Open the Settings app on Galaxy phones and scroll down to select General Management.General Management Settings on Samsung

Step 2: Tap Reset and select Reset network settings on the following screen.Reset Settings on Samsung Device

From there, follow the on-screen instructions to start the recovery process. Your phone may ask you to enter a PIN to lock the screen.

If you are delaying any, you can try to update your Samsung phone. Such network issues and other errors can also occur due to a bad system update. Updating to a newer version will probably fix the problem.

To download new updates, go to Software Update in the Settings app. First, download and then install any pending updates to know if your phone can connect to the network.Software Update on Samsung
