On Wednesday, the global smartphone manufacturer OPPO introduced the most recent iterations of its Reno Series handsets in the Indian market. The Reno8 Pro 5G can be purchased for 45,999 Indian Rupees (Rs.), while the Reno8 5G can be purchased for 29,999 Rs. The Reno Series is distinguished by its simplified unibody design as well as its end-to-end imaging solution. The MariSilicon X, which is OPPO’s own own image neural processing unit (NPU), serves as the primary processing unit for the OPPO Reno8 Pro 5G. The NPU was a product that was developed in-house by the firm. It is capable of doing 18 trillion operations in a single second thanks to its 3.5 billion transistors. Because of the processing power available, 4K Ultra Night Video is able to maintain its crispness and clarity even in the most trying of conditions. It was said by the manufacturer that the RGBW Sony IMX709 selfie sensor and the Sony 50MP IMX766 rear shooter would provide consumers with an unparalleled experience when it came to shooting. Both an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with a view of 112 degrees and a 2-megapixel macro camera can be found on the back of the device.
The Chief Marketing Officer of OPPO India, Damyant Singh Khanoria, made the following statement: “With the Reno8 Pro and the Reno8, we have established new benchmarks in imaging with the MariSilicon X Neural Processing Unit that we built ourselves” (NPU). The SUPERVOOCTM and BHE technologies that we have developed charge batteries more quickly, make our products safer to use, and extend the lifespan of our products, with the assurance that they will continue to function at a high level for a longer period of time. “We at OPPO can’t wait for our consumers to check out and appreciate these new goods,” he added. “We’re very excited about them.”
Reno8 Pro Features
Glazed Green and Glazed Black will be the two color options for the Reno8 Pro, both of which have a sleek unibody design with a Gorilla Glass 5 back and an aluminum frame for additional durability.
The system-on-chip used in the device is a MediaTek Dimensity 8100-MAX, and it has a battery capacity of 4500 mAh and supports OPPO’s 80W SUPERVOOCTM Flash Charge.
Because of the Battery Health Engine (BHE) technology, the batteries are able to keep up to 80 percent of their initial capacity even after going through 1,600 charge cycles (double the industry standard of 800 charges).
Because of this, the lifespan of the smartphone is increased to more than four years.
In addition, for an even larger improvement in overall performance, OPPO’s Ultra-Conductive Graphite Cooling System outperforms conventional graphite in terms of cooling efficiency by a factor of 45 percent.
OPPO Reno8 5G Features
The IMX709 and the IMX766 are the identical twin camera sensors that are used in the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact and the OPPO Reno8 5G.
In addition to that, it provides a comprehensive ecosystem of AI-powered photography capabilities such as Ultra Night Video, Night Portrait, and Bokeh Flare video. The MediaTek Dimensity 1300 System-on-Chip (SoC) that this smartphone utilizes, together with OPPO’s Super-Conductive VC Liquid Cooling System and ColorOS 12.1, have been integrated into this product with the intention of providing consumers with an all-around performance.
The Reno8 5G, much like the Reno8 Pro 5G, has a sleek unibody design and is offered in two colors, namely Shimmer Gold and Shimmer Black.
This product also comes with an 80W SUPERVOOCTM battery, which allows it to be used for up to 1.5 days on a single charge.
According to the firm, each of the products have received the TUV SUD certification for fluency attenuation after being used for a period of thirty-six months.
